Group Therapy
Group therapy can help you find a sense of community with others who are going through similar things as you while giving you access to valuable therapy that can truly help you feel better.
The effectiveness of group lies in its ability to help you find connections with other people and their experiences. These therapist-guided sessions will help you learn more about yourself and how to improve the way you feel while feeling support from others who understand your experience.
We currently offer the following groups:
Queer and Neurodivergent
This is an ongoing group for clients who are interested in coming together virtually to explore the impact of living in a hetero/cis-normative world that prioritizes the needs of neurotypical/allisitic folks and harms those who are different. If you are queer/trans and neurodivergent, finding community among others who have similar lived-experiences is incredibly healing but often quite challenging. Meets alternating Saturdays at Noon.
Exploring Gender Identity
This virtual group welcomes those who are questioning their gender as well as those who feel affirmed in their identities. We will explore challenges related to rejection, non-affirmation, and discrimination, internalized stigma, aspects of social, medical, and legal transition, and share resources. I use a trauma-informed and resilience-based approach to this group, often discussing the historical and contextual aspects of oppression to help members feel empowered to advocate for themselves and challenge social norms. Meets alternating Saturdays at Noon.
